General Fit Advice

Updated this week

Choosing the right size can make all the difference. While sizing can vary between brands, the guidance below can help you select the best fit before ordering.

Sizing Can Vary by Brand

Different brands use different sizing standards, so we always recommend checking the information provided on the product page before purchasing.

Where available, you’ll find:

  • Size charts specific to that brand or product

How to Get the Best Fit

To help choose the correct size:

  • Measure yourself using a tape measure and compare with size charts where provided

  • If you’re between sizes, consider how you prefer your clothing to fit (closer or looser)

  • Read the product description carefully for any fit-specific guidance

Footwear Fit Advice

For footwear:

  • Sizes are generally listed in UK sizing unless otherwise stated

  • If you plan to wear thicker socks, you may wish to size up

  • If a style is known to fit large or small, this will be noted on the product page

Outdoor & Layered Clothing

Many outdoor and country clothing items are designed to allow for layering.

When choosing jackets, coats, or knitwear:

  • Consider the layers you’ll wear underneath

  • A slightly roomier fit may be more comfortable in colder weather
